weekend zero: intro
SHIPWRECKED
The roar of the sea fills your ears - and then your eyes, mouth, and nose, as violent waves crash over you. The taste of salt brushes past your lips and as you propel yourself through the chillingly cold water, you see other people adrift and pieces of debris rolling through the harsh, large waves.
Ahead of you in the distance, a rotating light flickers in and out of sight. As you fight your way through the tumultuous current, limbs growing weary, your feet soon brush against the sandy bottom of the ocean. Will you reach the land? Or will the waves consume you?
For those of you who fight your way to the shore, you'll find yourself dragging yourself onto an island, miles wide and as far as the eye can see. The terrain is a bit difficult to navigate, and without a map you'll have to explore on your own. Luckily, you aren't alone. Several others begin to pull themselves out of the water, drenched and lost and confused. The paths around you lead to various parts of the island, but no matter how far you look you'll find no other signs of life.
Perhaps it's best to take a look at your surroundings. You may even find something of yours hidden away at one of the camps. But that seems impossible, doesn't it? How could your belongings arrive before you did?
...that's a mystery for another day. Welcome aboard.

[ He's not familiar with the name, but by now it's evident that Fódlan is far beyond the ocean. Perhaps this man came from another noble home, one he's never heard of. ]

[ they're definitely not of any sort of remotely equal rank, that's for sure. yin yu's quite content with his invisible minimum wage worker life nowadays. ] It's not particularly uncommon for him to have me complete missions for him such as this. he also really wouldn't put it past hua cheng to just drop him on a deserted island and be like "good luck" if he was distracted enough.... though he can't imagine why he would do it now of all times, so there's that. ]
