WEEK TWO: TRIAL
Morning dawns bright and early the day after the announcement of the dead, and as the sun tracks its way across the sky, the voice's message is likely not far from anyone's mind. Friends are still missing, people are still dead, and time is running out.
Finally, the sun reaches its highest point. A low, deep thrumming sound echoes throughout the entire island, which turns into ringing, a drawn-out signal that grows louder and louder until it seems as though all other sounds on the island fall to a hush.
It is then that the lighthouse beacon becomes illuminated, drawing them all to the southern beach. That same voice as before rings, audible throughout the entire island.
Once the entire group has gathered, the lighthouse's beacon flickers out.
It is time to choose the next sacrifice... and hopefully, to catch a killer.
Good luck.

"There are those of you who hope to escape from this with clean hands...you may find yourselves successful. Will it be worth it? You are all participants in this game, and you will all be complicit in the sacrifices that take place here, or else you will not have earned your passage home. Twenty-four hours remain before the ritual must be completed, or you will all suffer the consequences. There is no consolation prize for less than eleven sacrifices.
You have until the sun vanishes beneath the horizon. Choose your next sacrifice, and choose who will dispatch them. Speak the names of your choices into the conch. Failure to cooperate will result in a fate worse than death.
...perhaps you should investigate the deaths. The bodies are out there, and the evidence as well... but you will have to find it yourselves.
...oh, and one more thing. There is a way to save yourselves...if you select the right sacrifice.
Tick-tock, tick-tock! Your time starts... now."
Once the entire group has gathered, the lighthouse's beacon flickers out.
It is time to choose the next sacrifice... and hopefully, to catch a killer.
Good luck.
OOC NOTES
Welcome to your last trial, everyone! This trial will take place from 9am PST/12pm EST/4am NZST, and will last until 6pm PST/9pm EST/1pm NZST.
There will be a one-hour trial break from 1pm PST/4pm EST/8am NZST to 2pm PST/5pm EST/9am NZST. We recommend that you use this time to get something to eat if you haven't yet already, play some Animal Crossing, or even just take a quick nap. During this time, no mod tags will go out; we also ask that players refrain from starting any intensive threads such as interrogations, strip searches, hair or injury comparisons, etc. While we're not going to say you're not allowed to tag during this time, we also don't want anyone to miss out on anything important during an official break.
Please remember to have your character cast a vote on the voting page! Voting is mandatory, as it functions as the activity check for the game. If you do not cast a vote by the time trial is over, your character will be killed off. Please contact the mods prior to the end of the trial if something comes up and you are prevented from voting (i.e. 504 errors, etc).
If you have any questions, please go ahead and ask! Your mods and fellow players are always here to help. And most of all... have fun!

hm. that's interesting... she was acting odd at camp last night..... perhaps related. moving down, let's check down each arm and to her hands. anything under her nails? any torn clothing or anything else? he'll push up her adorable fuwa sleeves to check wrists and forearms, too... ]
no subject
no subject
ok. let's move fairly professionally downwards. anything to notice on her torso without touching at first? flayn your dress is too poofy.
he'll feel along carefully down her sides, around her ribs, a flat hand on her stomach. ]
no subject
Anyway, nothing feels too terribly out of place - it doesn't feel like she's hiding anything in her bodice, at any rate.]
no subject
can he (very carefully and also professionally, sweats) check around her collar under the dress? is there any redness or weirdness to the skin?
if not let's keep going down and check down her legs to her feet. ]
no subject
anyway, her skin under her collar doesn't look all that strange - no redness there. her legs and feet are covered in tights and boots, which are looking a little dusty and sandy, but otherwise normal!]
no subject
after that: pockets!! let's find the pockets. does she have anything on her person? ]
no subject
there are some flowers in her pockets, though. (does her dress have pockets? it does now, dammit.)]
no subject
oh. these are from the jungle.... he'll take one, very carefully to bring with back to the others. beyond that, it seems like the only real clue was her mouth... let's take a slightly closer look at her teeth? even if it doesn't smell good....
im out of options otherwise i lost the brain cell i'm sorry everybody ]
no subject
also, as he handles the body, he'll notice that her muscles seem a little stiff, even though it's a little early for rigor mortis to be setting in.]
no subject
well, combined with her behavior last night.... we can at least draw a couple of conclusions.... how troubling. he'll check a couple joints, the bend at her fingers and elbows, just to make sure that wasn't a fluke. her body's not cold, yet, even, is it? he'll check under her bangs like checking for a fever.
when its all said and done, he'll then carefully put her hands together over her heart, and tuck one of the extra flowers in her fingers. :c ]
no subject
go forth with your findings, yin yu!]
no subject
shinobu is here to carefully remove flayn's clothing. i'm very sorry. she needs to see if the rest of her body is free of any wounds or rashes or the like. ]
no subject
flayn's got some bruises on her legs, once shinobu gets her boots and tights off!
but like the ones on her arms, they look several days old. no other wounds or rashes, though.]
no subject
no subject
a sunbather, flayn was not.]
no subject
coloring and the like? shape and length? ]
no subject
they look about how you'd expect purplish-blueish bruises to look - except they're light green, though they don't look healed enough to be that color just yet.]

no subject
shinobu will carefully redress flayn and position her body how yin yu left her, flower and all. ]
